There are four of us, including park ranger, staying in this little hut in the middle of Borneo’s Kutai National Park:
They get few visitors here and the rainforest is very dense. Apparently no human has been through some of this forest for over a year so we have to cut our own paths with machete:
But where are those flaming orang-utangs? Their numbers are waning as they are being driven out of their habitats by Borneo’s rampant mining and plantation industries. The fight to save them is a tough one.
I swear there’s one up there somewhere…
