Tea Leaf Salad is pretty big in my life right now. It’s a spicy mix of pickled tea leaves, nuts, other stuff and lime and it’s incredibly tasty. I guess it looks kind of horrible.


Ingredients :
4 – 5 tablespoon

1 – 2

2 – 3 tablespoon

2 – 3 cloves

2 – 3 tablespoon

1 tablespoon

2 teaspoon

2 teaspoon

1 tablespoon

Fermented tea leaves ( lephet )

Bird’s-eye chili ( chili padi )

Dried shrimp, soaked and pounded to powdery form

Garlic, sliced and deep fried until golden brown

Peanuts, roasted

Sesame seeds, toasted

Fish sauce

Fresh lime juice

Peanut oil

Method :

  • Combined all ingredients in a bowl and mix them thoroughly as with a conventional salad. The bowl can be passed around to each guest or it can be placed in a central position so that each guest or family member can conveniently reach over to take a pinch of the salad.
